Beyond
The Beyond Series explores the space between the known and the unknown—spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically. Each piece reflects my curiosity about hidden realms: the inner self, the subconscious mind, and the mysteries that exist beyond our visible world. This body of work is a visual meditation on the unseen forces that shape our lives, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with what lies beneath the surface of everyday reality.

East meets West
East Meets West is a landscape series inspired by my return to America in 2021. Moved by the vast beauty of Western nature—especially its dramatic rock formations—I use traditional Korean pigmenting techniques to express these landscapes as evolving creations of time, earth, and elemental interaction. This series blends Eastern artistic methods with Western subjects, reflecting the harmony and contrast between two cultures and natural worlds.
World of Connection / Lost / Rebirth
A Reflection on Human Relationships in a Changing World
This series reflects on the emotional depth of human connection and the impact of separation—both personal and global. Created during my time in Korea and through the Covid-19 pandemic, the work explores themes of longing, isolation, and digital overwhelm. Inspired by Indra’s Net, it highlights how our lives are deeply interconnected. Amid loss, there is also hope—for healing, rediscovery, and the rebirth of meaningful relationships.
Korean Folk Art
Korean folk art, or Minhwa is a vibrant expression of the people's wishes for happiness, longevity, prosperity, and virtue. Traditionally painted on mulberry paper or silk, Minhwa features symbolic imagery—roses for youth, peaches and turtles for long life, tigers and dragons for protection and strength etc.. These artworks celebrate daily life, nature, and spirituality. My collection blends classic Minhwa motifs with a contemporary perspective, preserving the essence of Korean heritage while offering a modern interpretation of its timeless beauty.
